What We Do

CCAT provides various levels of support and services to many member organizations and business professionals in Canada and China, especially to the small and medium sized enterprises, entrepreneurs, and start-ups that are seeking to take their first steps in a new market, as well as universities and culture communities. CCAT informs Canadians on fast-growing opportunities with China, facilitate the success of Canadian business in China, and work with organizations big and small from all sectors of the Canadian economy as they enter and operate in China. We also guide Chinese investors as they enter the Canadian market so they can operate successfully in Canada. We are a trusted source of information and opinions on Canada-China business and policy. We are looking forward to working with you in the year of 2018!

The CCIFF submission has ended on June 20th, and the screening team has received more than 60 films for this year’s edition, including features, animations, documentaries and student films. There are 18 films in total in June’s submission.

This year, we’ve collaborate with Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants - Montréal Children's Hospital Foundation again and will present a series of short animation collections. This collection includes submission films as wellas Oscar-nominated animations produced by National Film Board (, such as Asian female director Keyu Chen’s "Winds of Spring" (2017), Oscar winner director Torill Kove’s "Me and My Moulton" (2014), Patrick Doyon’s cute animation "Sunday" (2011), and Evelyn Lambart’s remarkable paper-cut style animation "The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse" (1980). All income from this screening will be donated to the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation to support their work.

There’s also a unique WUXIA feature, "Assassin on the String" (2019) which is combining the music and Kungfu into one film. The committee also invited some short films from Cannes and hopefully they can be presented to the audiences in September.
